ANSWER: The content of the warning messages can be customised by editing the relevant definitions in the language file (or by creating a new language file in your language).
The first attachment to this post is a screen dump of the default message (in case of an idle account).
The second attachment is the related section of the present language file.
Also, is there an email warning for accounts pending activation? Or only for idle and non-logged in accounts?
ANSWER: Reminders are sent for:
(1) Accounts that have been awaiting activation for too long (that was your question, so the answer is YES);
(2) Accounts that have never been logged into (so not even once) for too long;
(3) Accounts that have otherwise been idle for too long

For the sake of completeness: Warning e-mails are sent by the plug-in Business Edition only!
Lastly, after an email warning is sent to the account about a pending removal, how long do they have to take action before the account is disabled/removed?
ANSWER: As you can see from the sample email, the action deadline date is included in the warning email. If you have the warnings sent at an earlier stage (configurable), the user will have more time to prevent the disabling/removal of his/her account.
